Can I tell you something? I first thought about creating this website in the early days of 2020. I thought it’d be more of a food writing destination, but I quickly realized I have way more interests than that, and then I decided to plan for a May launch.
Then Kobe passed away unexpectedly in a tragic accident. His sudden death reminded me that we are all here to live a life of purpose. I had to ask myself what legacy would I leave behind?
This was a similar question I had when I taught my first university course. It was a general education writing course and I had the freedom to choose my own theme and design the entire course. I chose “Writing to Inspire.” I love writing and I wanted to share my passion with my students. That first class experience was amazing and nearly everyone left feeling inspired by one another.
“The most important thing is to try and inspire peopleKobe Bryant, Black Mamba
so that they can be great at whatever they want to do.”
I tell my students life comes down to a few questions: Who do you want to be, what kind of life do you want to live, and what kind of world do you want to live in?
Knowing the answers to these questions will help you figure out what you want to write about and why. You see, your values and how you see yourself will influence the way you move and interact with others.
I want to live a life that is simple yet meaningful, filled with love, sweetness, and abundance.
I want to live in a world where people care about people, not just themselves or those closest to them. Maybe I just want us all to care about everything that matters, to be conscious and aware and intentional.
Oh, you didn’t want to know all that? You want a more conventional bio? Then keep reading!
